Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms By requesting a quote, booking a service, or accepting an estimate from CH Services, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

2. Quotations and Pricing

  • All quotations provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

  • Quotes are based on the visual inspection of the property or the information provided by the Client. If, during the course of the work, unforeseen electrical faults, structural issues, or pre-existing non-compliant wiring are discovered, CH Services reserves the right to revise the quotation. No additional work will commence without the Client’s prior approval.

  • All prices are subject to the applicable rate of Value Added Tax (VAT) in the Republic of Ireland.

3. SEAI and Teagasc Grants

  • Where CH Services assists with SEAI, TAMS, or Teagasc grant applications (e.g., for Solar PV or EV chargers), the Client acknowledges that final grant approval is at the sole discretion of the respective authority.

  • CH Services is not liable if a grant application is rejected due to the Client failing to meet eligibility criteria or failing to submit the required documentation in a timely manner.

  • The Client must receive their official Grant Offer from the SEAI before any installation work commences.

4. Scheduling and Access

  • The Client must ensure that our engineers have clear, safe, and unhindered access to the property, fuseboards, and work areas on the scheduled dates.

  • While we strive to meet all scheduled deadlines, CH Services shall not be held liable for delays caused by extreme weather, supply chain shortages, or other events outside of our reasonable control.

5. Payment Terms

  • A deposit may be required before the commencement of large projects (such as Solar PV installations or full property rewires).

  • Final payment is strictly due upon completion of the work and prior to the handover of official Safe Electric or EICR certification, unless a prior commercial credit agreement is in place.

  • Failure to make payment may result in delayed grant processing or the withholding of safety certificates.

6. Warranties and Liability

  • Equipment: All materials, solar panels, inverters, EV chargers, and electrical components supplied by CH Services are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties.

  • CH Services shall not be liable for any pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or faults in the property’s existing electrical infrastructure.

7. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
